CBR driving test tips:

• Immediately after you have taken the driving test, you will be told whether you have failed or passed. If you have passed the driving test, you can apply for your driving license the next day at the town hall.
  If you have failed, you are eligible to retake the exam. In any case, you have to wait two weeks from the CBR before you can take another driving test.
• Ensure the best preparation:
  Ensure the best preparation. The most important thing is that you have had sufficient driving lessons. You have to feel like you have it under control. If your driving instructor thinks you are ready and you are not yet, arrange a few extra driving lessons. Your instructor will receive a snapshot of your driving behavior, so you can best estimate how confident you are in your driving behavior.
• Don't make too much of a big deal about the driving test:
  Don't make too much of a big deal about the driving test. A lot of students really look forward to the CBR exam, but it is nothing more than showing what you have learned. If you master driving well, you can drive around with someone and half an hour will pass in no time.
• Making mistakes is allowed:
  Making mistakes is allowed. Nobody drives flawlessly, your CBR examiner knows that too. So don't panic if you make a mistake, but show how you solve it. Stay calm and handle traffic safely. Keep watching carefully and concentrate on what's next. Use the remaining time to prove that you deserve the driver's license.

  This is very much looked up to, but don't worry, they don't have to be flawless, parallel parking is allowed in two passes. The most important thing is your viewing behavior and that you do not hinder other traffic while performing the action.
• Drive confidently:
  Don't seem doubtful, but be confident. Show initiative, if you have priority, take it and show that you are actively participating. If you appear insecure, this will influence your examiner. No one likes to ride with someone who isn't sure of themselves
• Smooth driving:
  Do not excessively adhere to the speed limit. The CBR examiner does not care if you drive 47 or 52 km/hour. It is important that you drive smoothly with traffic and adapt your speed to the situation.
• Let your instructor ride with you:
  Ask your driving instructor to drive with you during the driving test. If you are unlucky enough to fail, your instructor can help you with the mistakes so that you do not make them again on the next exam.

An interim test or TTT is a trial exam from the CBR.

The driving test is like a real driving test, so that the candidate can get used to the situation and can already drive the test route once, which can reduce any nervousness.

If the TTT is successful, a candidate can also earn an exemption from the driving test for the special maneuvers section.

Pass rate for fear of failure exam

Figures from the CBR show that the fear of failure exam is a great success and has a higher pass rate. In 2016, 62% of driving test candidates passed the test anxiety test, compared to 49% of all “normal” driving test candidates.

What is the difference with a normal driving test?

When taking a test anxiety exam, you must also meet all the 'driving skills requirements' set by the CBR. This means that you must demonstrate that you participate in traffic safely and responsibly.
Once you are on your way during the practical exam and the paralyzing tension sets in, you can request a time-out. Your examiner can also give you a time-out if he thinks you need it.

I would like to take a fear of failure exam

If nerves are getting in your way, don't hesitate and arrange a test anxiety exam. If that makes the difference between passing or failing for you, we advise you to definitely do this.

You always need a Health Declaration.

You must be healthy enough to drive a car, both physically and mentally. That is why the CBR checks everyone who wants to take a driving test with a Health Declaration.

The Health Declaration contains questions about your health. You must complete this truthfully, because you are responsible for your own safety and that of others.

The CBR checks

The CBR assesses whether you are medically fit to drive a car. Do this immediately at the start of your driving training. The CBR medical assessments are currently very busy and sometimes you have to visit a medical specialist and/or take a driving test at the CBR. That takes extra time.

The Health Declaration is valid for one year.

A driving test cannot simply be canceled. Once the exam has been reserved, only CBR can cancel the exam before 24 hours. The rules that the CBR applies are strict and our experience is that they only make a cancellation in very exceptional cases.
